Writing

Scholars we are going to review narrative writing this week.
You will write about you favorite birthday party. Watch the video about how to write a narrative story. Use your 5 senses to add details to your story. The word bank will also help you with your writing. Write your story on a piece of paper. Take a picture of your story and send it to your teacher on ClassDojo.
If your scholar works with Ms. Thornton or Ms. Cantu, please use the following resources to complete the activities.

Math

Standard: MGSE2.NBT.7 Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method

Vocabulary: add, subtract, regroup, trade, ones, tens, hundreds, one’s place, ten’s place, hundred’s place, base ten, partial sums, number line, standard model.
